The capstone for the program is the student teaching internship that is given during their final semester of coursework. This four year degree program permits completers to attain certification in English Education, ESOL certification, and reading endorsement which allows them to adequately compete in the world today.

The BS English Education degree is currently being phased out and integrated into the BS Secondary Education.
