Program Overview
The English Education program at Florida A & M University is dedicated to producing model teachers of reading, writing, speaking, and listening. It is a one track program designed to prepare middle and high school teachers in English/Language Arts. The coursework focuses on various English content sections, education areas, and English education or methodology. The capstone for the program is the student teaching internship that is given during their final semester of coursework. This four year degree program permits completers to attain certification in English Education, ESOL certification, and reading endorsement which allows them to adequately compete in the world today.
NOTE:
The BS English Education degree is currently being phased out and integrated into the BS Secondary Education.
